Seg&uacute;n los autores, que cuentan con abundantes publicaciones sobre temas relacionados con la inteligencia y el razonamiento, el objetivo del libro consiste en ayudar a los ense&ntilde;antes a entender las diferentes clases de razonamiento para que puedan aplicar estos conocimientos directamente a su actividad docente. Los alumnos aprenden mucho mejor cuando razonan de forma eficaz sobre la materia que est&aacute;n aprendiendo. El aprendizaje y el razonamiento no son dos entidades distintas e independientes; por el contrario, si los alumnos razonan al aprender, aprenden a pensar y aprenden lo que necesitan saber de un modo m&aacute;s eficaz que si &uacute;nicamente lo intentan memorizar. El libro muestra en qu&eacute; consiste un buen aprendizaje, ilustra algunas estrategias que los profesores pueden utilizar para fomentar un razonamiento correcto y explica la manera en la que se puede evaluar la capacidad de razonar de los estudiantes. Cualquier profesor que lea el libro estar&aacute; en mejores condiciones para estimular la capacidad de razonar de sus alumnos, e incluso para aumentar la suya propia. El fundamento de estas propuestas es la teor&iacute;a de la inteligencia tripartita, que identifica tres tipos de razonamiento: el anal&iacute;tico, el creativo y el pr&aacute;ctico. Desgraciadamente la ense&ntilde;anza tradicional s&oacute;lo incentiva el razonamiento anal&iacute;tico, pero si consideramos la ense&ntilde;anza como una preparaci&oacute;n para el mundo laboral, es importante que la educaci&oacute;n desarrolle tambi&eacute;n formas de pensamiento creativo y pr&aacute;ctico. Se trata de que los alumnos sean capaces no s&oacute;lo de memorizar y analizar las ideas de otras personas, sino tambi&eacute;n de proponer ideas por s&iacute; mismos. Este es sin duda un libro pr&aacute;ctico, pero que va m&aacute;s all&aacute; de lo que es un libro de &quot;instrucciones&quot;.
